Hon:
Hon were made of gold. Hon is a Kannada word meaning gold. At that time, there were 26 types of hons, including those of Swarajya and foreign ones. Their types were determined by their size and weight. The list of 25 types of hon is available to us as follows,

In Swarajya, Hons were called Shivarai Hon. However, apart from Shivarai, there were copper coins bearing the name Shivarai in Swarajya. Devarai, Achyutarai and Ramachandrarai were overthrown by Vijayanagar kings Devarai, Achyutarai and Ramachandrarai. Kaaveri Pak, Gutti, Dhaarwaadi, Aadvani, Tadpatri, Gadmal, Hukeri, Shailgutti, Velari coins are named after their mint. Among them Kaveri Pak, Dharwadi, Advani, Hookery and Velory coins were struck by Adil Shah of Bijapur. Also two coins Gutti and Shailgutti were minted by Kutub Shah of Gowalkonda. The Patshahi and Ibrahimi coins were struck by the Bijapur Patshah, while the Mohar coins were introduced by the Mughal emperors. The Tipaki coin was minted by an English factory.
