Overall, while studying the revenue and tax system during Chatrapati’s time, I realized that the system of monthly contribution (Vargani) is not known during Shivaji Maharaj’s time. Due to this, taxes such as Sinhansapatti, Dasarapatti, Toran Bheti and other taxes were collected whenever the occasion arose. Some taxes were collected regularly.

For example, the tax of Sinhansapatti was levied only once i.e. at the time of Chhatrapati’s coronation. Also my personal guess is that Dasarapatti should be collected every year as at present annual subscription is collected every year.
