ऽ Weekly Market:
At that time the market was held once a week in the main village. Those who observe such market arrangements are called ‘Shete’. They were allowed to collect taxes imposed on shopkeepers. They had to keep a list of vendors in the market. They were given rent-free land in return for their services.
ऽ Proceeds of war Dacoity:
If the Marathas entered the territories under the control of foreigners and looted, they would pay the money to the government. The annual rent of the leased land collected in the government was also the revenue of the government. The Marathas used to get such rent of leases from the King of Sondh and Govalkond.
